Tops like these…. originally worn by the Kuchi nomads as a dress patch to brighten up long cotton dresses. These days they are way more fun as crop top. Super sexy, gorgeous and unique all at once.

One-of-a-kind Authentic Tribal Crop Top / Dress Patch from the SS14 Collection

Style Lions Authentic Tribal Crop Top found it’s way to Burning Man 2014 and she was quiet a hit. Check out some of the pics of my favorite rainbow warrior Nina van Hilst.

The silk vintage caftan from the SS14 collection probably used to be from a 70s flower child who took here back from her days in an Indian ashram….

ChildOfWild-61

We will never be sure, but it’s a fact that this pink flowy vintage caftan is a stunner. The silk caftan was made in India and dates back to the 70s. Still in such a great condition it was no wander that she got sold shortly after she was listed on Etsy.

Happy as a kid when I discovered she ended up in the collection of vintage collector and one of my favorite stylists Chloe Chippendale. She worked the caftan into the look book for the new jewelry collection of Child of Wild. Seems like my pretty vintage found it’s way to the to a perfect new free spirit.

Caroline Wilson is such a free bird in these shots….

This vest is made for the cool kids….

Black velvet, sequined embroidery, puffy elephants & bright colors… This must be a vintage Carol Horn, made in Myanmar in the mid 70s.

‘Bringing cultures and traditions of the past and present into her designs, Carol Horn uniquely creates a style that is both stylish and comfortable. She was the first to implement the essence of the 1960s, with collections of separates that carried over from season to season. To create fashionable designs from various cultures and traditions, Horn has used travel as a source of inspiration throughout her career. She made her first trip to India in 1969. After her India trip, Horn traveled extensively to find inspiration for her designs, including visits through Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Far East.’ *

Sounds like quite a life to me….

That 70s revival is really hot. It’s everywhere; the main stream paper magazines, bloggers, street style and already on the fall catwalk shows.

Kickstarted by the original hipsters. From Mister Hedi Slimane’s first collection for Saint Laurent (2012) to many other catwalk shows. And now via the festival scene on it’s way to high street and into our closets.

Suddenly it struck me. While trying to imagine the hotness of my biggest fashion love since forever I wanted this trend to evaporate from earth. Don’t they have something ‘In’ every season, that will be ‘out’ the next?

Big chance, this is just another revival to keep the billion dollar fashion industry alive. On the other hand, it’s a style revival that suits time perfectly. One that celebrates love and freedom. Something we all want more than ever. Right?

Trust me, if not yet, it will get you too. You will spoil yourself with something suede, psychedelic, flowery, patchwork, fringe, ethnic or bohemian this summer. You too want to live out that 70s feeling. You celebrate love and freedom too, right?

But what happens when a new trend pops up? Will us fashion lovers loose ourselves into the next big thing?

It’s up to us to turn this trend into a true mindset. To me this trend is a keeper. What do you think, A trend to stick or just a quick fix to our summer (festival) wardrobe?

Whether it will stick or not, I believe these items will be a safe investment.

If only my hair grew longer than my nipples.

My highest goal was being everywhere and nothing but an awesome groupie.

My trips took me higher than the moon and brought me gems from around the globe.

Love was in the air.

The late 60s & early 70s, the days that celebrated freedom through love and rebellion. A fight against conformity. Let these pictures take you back in time…

The hippies believed that in order to change the world, they had to change their style. They wanted style based on personal inspiration, believes and experiences. Love trough happy gatherings and standing behind the choices they made. Freedom by wandering the world and experimenting with literally everything. A personal style that brought them higher, inspired by the things they came across and loved.

Dream away and dive into their minds.

The (fashion his)story of the Kimono goes way back.
The kimono, from a Japanese original to the wardrobes of early 20th century’s avant-garde. And every time our inner cravings to travel, explore and wander comes back to it’s surface, the kimono finds her way back into our hearts. Recalling the late 60s / early 70s, where the wandering gypsies & bohemian groupies wore clothing that represented the idea of freedom. During this period the kimono became a more flowy and psychedelic version of it’s original… Last years we have seen her slowly conquer our hearts again. Which perfectly makes sense when you consider our insane but yet so much loved desire to explore temporary new mini worlds. Yes, I am talking about festivals.
Off course, the high street chains recognized the kimono love, which resulted in an overdose of cheap designs from the far far east. Ironic, don’t you think?! I only settle for the best and prettiest. The originals. Those who are made with love. The ones that will last untill our next wandering state of mind. Discover the latest additions to our kimono collection here.

Welcome to our glorious brick & concrete jungle, part 2. Where our bohemian vintage dresses hit the streets of Amsterdam with our new found babe, Olivia. All, in honor of spring and our true mission to spread the love.

We love it when the free spirit meets the rebel. Where flying high meets kicking. In the end they all have the same purpose.

A girl can dream… If only these pretty catwalk items could magically appear in my wardrobe. This personal favorite catwalk round up shows mostly SS14 best of rebels & free spirits. Topping it off with a sneak peek of AW14-15 festive must haves. Off course it wouldn’t be me if wouldn’t work them into my own style. Mixed with all time favorite ringer boots, denim, plain Ts, vintage hats & bags and silver ethnic jewellery. I’d better start hunting for vintage original look alikes now!
