Sometimes you just don’t have time to go real life treasure hunting. But what about that thrill of scoring something insanely amazing… You want it. You need it. Right?

This is probably the time you should discover Etsy (if you haven’t yet).

Etsy stores all you favorites on one happy place. It is the perfect way of tracking down all the cool one-of-a-kind stuff from around the globe.

Ever since I turned my head towards Etsy, I can’t be bothered with high street stuff any longer. Way to boring. And far beyond okay.

Etsy is shopping heaven, and here is why:

  1. Etsy brings you the biggest vintage collection from around the globe.
  2. Besides vintage lots of independent designers sell limited edition or made-to-order collections
  3. You can search for ‘Vintage Yves Saint Laurent’ and over 3500 items pop up. Use filters such as most recent, color, price or shop local to narrow it down.
  4. You can ‘heart’ items. They will be stored under your favorite listed items.
  5. Your homepage houses an overview of all your favorite (hearted) items and new items listed in your favorite shops.
  6. It’s a personal experience. You’ll get to ‘meet’ the people working behind the Etsy shops. From my experience all so friendly, passionate and customer minded. They really want you to love their items and not just buy.

Besides my favorite one-of-a-kind shopping destination it also turned out to be the best way to bring you my vintage treasures. Discover my vintage and tribal treasure collection here

So, If you can’t go real life hunting and are kind of fed up with your weekly check on all your 30 favorite online vintage stores just visit Etsy. She is your answer.

The silk vintage caftan from the SS14 collection probably used to be from a 70s flower child who took here back from her days in an Indian ashram….

We will never be sure, but it’s a fact that this pink flowy vintage caftan is a stunner. The silk caftan was made in India and dates back to the 70s. Still in such a great condition it was no wander that she got sold shortly after she was listed on Etsy.

Happy as a kid when I discovered she ended up in the collection of vintage collector and one of my favorite stylists Chloe Chippendale. She worked the caftan into the look book for the new jewelry collection of Child of Wild. Seems like my pretty vintage found it’s way to the to a perfect new free spirit.

Caroline Wilson is such a free bird in these shots….

This vest is made for the cool kids….

Black velvet, sequined embroidery, puffy elephants & bright colors… This must be a vintage Carol Horn, made in Myanmar in the mid 70s.

‘Bringing cultures and traditions of the past and present into her designs, Carol Horn uniquely creates a style that is both stylish and comfortable. She was the first to implement the essence of the 1960s, with collections of separates that carried over from season to season. To create fashionable designs from various cultures and traditions, Horn has used travel as a source of inspiration throughout her career. She made her first trip to India in 1969. After her India trip, Horn traveled extensively to find inspiration for her designs, including visits through Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Far East.’ *

Sounds like quite a life to me….
